Payment & Fulfilment Policy

All purchases made through Author Events (including memberships, books, merchandise and event tickets) are processed and managed by Book & Stage Store, which operates Author Events and acts as the official sales and fulfilment platform.

Author Events does not handle or store payment information directly. All transactions are processed through secure, third-party platforms:

Books & Merchandise:

Books and merchandise are sold through Book & Stage Store via SumUp and fulfilled by the individual author, creator or supplier responsible for the product.

Memberships:

Membership payments are processed securely by Book & Stage Store via Stripe and SumUp.

Event Tickets:

Event tickets are managed through Eventbrite, TicketTailor, and SumUp unless otherwise stated.

Eventbrite, TicketTailor and SumUp provide ticketing and payment processing services. Refunds are administered in accordance with the Book & Stage Store Terms & Conditions and the terms of the relevant ticketing platform.

Order Fulfilment

Physical products purchased through Book & Stage Store are dispatched directly by the independent author, creator or supplier responsible for that product.

To enable your order to be fulfilled, Book & Stage Store will share your order details, including your name and delivery address, with the relevant author, creator or supplier solely for the purpose of processing and dispatching your order.

While products are fulfilled by the individual supplier, Book & Stage Store will assist customers in resolving any fulfilment, delivery or product-related issues where possible.

By placing an order through Book & Stage Store, you consent to the sharing of your order details for fulfilment purposes in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Booking & Refund Policy

Event Tickets

Tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by Author Events or Book & Stage Store.

If an event is cancelled, ticket holders will be offered a full refund or, where applicable, the option to transfer their booking to a rescheduled date.

Requests to transfer tickets may be considered at our discretion but cannot be guaranteed.

This does not affect your statutory consumer rights.

Event Attendance

By purchasing a ticket, attendees agree to behave respectfully towards speakers, organisers, venue staff and other attendees. We reserve the right to refuse admission or remove individuals whose behaviour is disruptive, abusive or unsafe.

Signed Books and Personalised Products

Many books sold through Book & Stage Store are signed, dedicated or otherwise personalised to order.

Once a book has been signed, personalised, prepared for dispatch or dispatched, orders cannot be cancelled or refunded unless the item is faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied.

This does not affect your statutory consumer rights.
