Payment & Fulfilment Policy

All purchases made through Author Events (including memberships, books, merchandise, and event tickets) are processed by our partner Book & Stage who acts as our official sales and fulfilment platform.

Author Events does not handle or store payment information directly. All transactions are processed through secure, third-party platforms:

Books & Merchandise:

Processed through our official sales partner Book & Stage via SumUp and fulfilled by individual authors or creators.

Memberships:

Processed through our official sales partner Book & Stage via Stripe.

Membership Options:
Monthly Membership – Auto-renews every 30 days unless cancelled
Annual Membership – Auto-renews every 12 months unless cancelled

How to Cancel:
You can cancel your membership at any time using the Stripe customer portal, accessible via your confirmation or renewal email.

If you need help accessing your Stripe portal, please contact Book & Stage using the contact form on their SumUp store or via the contact email provided in your receipt.

Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are offered for partially used terms.

Event Tickets: Managed via Eventbrite. Eventbrite handles ticket issuance, payments, and refunds where applicable.

Order Fulfilment

All physical products purchased through Book & Stage are shipped directly by the independent author or creator responsible for that product. Book & Stage does not pack, store, or dispatch physical items and cannot accept liability for fulfilment issues, shipping damage, or packaging safety.

To enable your order to be dispatched, Book & Stage will share your order details, including your name and shipping address, with the relevant author or creator.

By placing an order through Book & Stage, you are consenting to this data being shared solely for fulfilment purposes in line with their Privacy Policy.

Event Booking & Refund Policy

  1. Cooling-Off Period – We offer a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of booking. During this time, you may cancel your booking for a full refund.
  2. Wavier of Cooling-Off Period – If the event is scheduled to take place within 14 days of booking, signing up and paying the fee will waive your right to the cooling-off period. In such cases, bookings are non-refundable.
  3. Non-Refundable Bookings – After the 14 day cooling-off period all bookings are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend the event, we regret that we cannot issue a refund or reschedule your booking.
  4. Event Guidelines – By paying the fee for your booking, you agree to comply with the event guidelines and respect other stallholders, organisers and attendees.
