Thank you for your interest in taking part in Author Events. This form covers all of our author opportunities, including Book Club features, author talks, interviews, workshops and events.

Please complete the sections below. We’ll then be in touch to discuss the opportunities that best suit you and your book.

Most of these opportunities are included as part of Author Events membership and are subject to availability and suitability. Premium services, such as Early Reads, have their own dedicated application process.

☕ Author Meet-Up Host

Author Talks at PizzaExpress Christchurch

Our Author Talks take place on the last Tuesday of each month at PizzaExpress in Christchurch.

Events include a mixture of informal in-conversation interviews and genre-based panel discussions.

These are free community events and there is currently no speaker fee.

How would you be happy to take part?

Book Club & Bubbles

Book Club & Bubbles takes place at the Royal Bath Hotel on the second Monday of each month.

We will soon be planning our programme for the new year and welcome expressions of interest from authors who would like to join us as a guest speaker.

A £10 contribution toward travel costs is available for speakers.

The hotel does not have private parking. During the summer, we recommend using Central Car Park because parking beside the hotel becomes more expensive.

Online Masterclasses

We are expanding our programme of online Masterclasses and are looking for experienced guest speakers to run practical, informative sessions.

Masterclasses may cover writing, publishing, promotion, the book trade or another relevant specialist topic.

Volunteer Author Meet-Up Hosts

We are looking for volunteer hosts as we expand our informal Author Meet-Ups nationally.

There is no fixed agenda. Meet-Ups are intended to be friendly, inclusive spaces where authors and writers can meet, chat and build local connections.

The host would need to:

  • Be present at the agreed date and time
  • Welcome new attendees
  • Help everyone feel included
  • Encourage friendly and interactive conversation
  • Act as a local point of contact

This is currently a voluntary role and there is no fee.

As local groups become established, we hope they may develop into additional events and regional Author Talks.
