Voice, Point of View & the Unreliable Narrator – Psychological Thriller Masterclass

Alex Stone | Author Events

Who should tell your story — and how much should your reader believe them?

Join bestselling psychological thriller author Alex Stone for this live, interactive two-hour masterclass exploring narrative voice, point of view and one of the psychological thriller’s most powerful devices: the unreliable narrator.

During the session, you’ll:

  • Explore how to decide who should tell your story
  • Consider the strengths and challenges of first and third person
  • Explore single and multiple viewpoints and how they affect the reader’s experience
  • Develop a distinctive narrative voice that suits your character and story
  • Examine the opportunities and challenges of using an unreliable narrator
  • Consider what your narrator knows, believes, reveals — and chooses to hide

Whether you’re deciding how to tell a new story or questioning the viewpoint of a novel already underway, you’ll be able to apply the session to your own work and ask questions along the way.

Thursday 12 November 2026 | 7–9pm UK time | Live online via Google Meet

Also included: Writers’ Hub

Your booking also gives you access to the Author Events Writers’ Hub — an informal live online hour where you can ask questions, discuss how you’re applying the teaching to your own novel, and connect with Alex and other writers.
