During the session, you’ll:
- Explore what makes a satisfying and believable twist
- Learn how to plant clues without making them too obvious
- Use red herrings and misdirection to guide the reader’s attention
- Consider how the timing of reveals affects suspense and impact
- Explore how to work backwards from a major revelation to plant what the reader needs along the way
- Consider how much information the reader needs — and when they need it
Whether you’re planning the twists in a new psychological thriller or trying to strengthen the reveals in an existing draft, you’ll be able to apply the session to your own story and ask questions along the way.
