Tye, Ray

Non-Fiction :

RAY TYE left home at fourteen with seven dollars in his pocket after his father gave him an ultimatum. He spent his teenage years homeless on the streets of Austin, Texas in the 1970s, enlisted in the Marines at seventeen, and eventually retired as a commissioned officer. Twenty-five years after leaving, he found his way back to his father.

Travis Heights is his debut memoir — a story about what it actually takes to repair something broken. Ray lives in Plano, Texas, with his wife Sally and an assortment of pets. He writes about second chances and the long road home.
