​​Christine Aziz is an award-winning writer and former journalist. Her debut children’s book, *The Kingdom of Broken Magic*, was published in October 2023. She has been long listed for the Bridport and Mslexia Poetry Prizes and is winner of the Richard and Judy Novel Writing competition. Her plays and an operetta have been staged in London and Dorset. For 35 years she worked as a journalist, specialising in reporting on the impact of war on women and children aroud the world. She has led creative writing workshops in the Middle East for young adults, and in the UK for survivors of domestic violence and for underprivileged children. She runs magic inspired workshops in primary schools to encourage children to read, and is memoir and creative writing tutor at the Arts University, Bournemouth, Dorset.
