Patrick worked in advertising with some of the most recognised agencies and brands. Before that, he served in the air force.

His series of WW2 aviation thrillers launched in 2022 with ‘The Lightning and The Few,’ the story of Jox McNabb, a Scottish schoolboy who in his country’s hour of need becomes one of The Few.

The series are international bestsellers and include five novels to date.

In October 2024, Patrick released his first standalone novel, a paranormal military thriller ‘The Brookwood Boys’ about ghosts haunting a military cemetery.
